Please see the below letter from a library Patron:
“On one of my first visits to the library for a toddler program, my granddaughter was given the gift of a book. This type of book was new to me as well as to other new Moms and Grandmas because they were a type of book called Indestructibles. These books are wonderful as an introduction to books for very young readers. They are perfect because they’re non-toxic, chewable, rip proof and washable. My granddaughter enjoyed many hours “reading” and “teething” her way through them.
I want to thank the Friends of Massapequa Library for establishing and funding “Books For Babies”. It’s a wonderful introduction to putting books in babies’ hands. I look forward to going back to the library and participating in the wonderful events which will again be available. In the meantime, we’re zooming with the amazing virtual programs the librarians are presenting.”
Due to the pandemic the Friends of the Library annual meeting and Team Trivia Night have been postponed until further notice. Stayed tuned for future events when restrictions are lifted!
