Thank you to everyone who came to the poetry reading and open mic night with with Tony Iovino. Tony read a selection of inspirational and meaningful poems about growing up in Massapequa from his book, From the Land of Sidewalks and Lawns. Library patron and library staff joined Barbara Gannon, president of the Friends of Massapequa Library on Friends of the Library Day, October 26, 2024. All visitors to our table received a raffle ticket to a gift card for Smokin’ Al’s in Massapequa Park. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn about the Friends and say hello.
